handora impression (spoiler)
Okay since I am already in day 55 and already 30 hours in I decided to write my thought first.
Story
The story is pretty enjoyable, if you like DR you definitely will LIKE it! the student interacting, dynamic and the whole ''student tried to do their best for their survival" vibe is pretty good....it also can get comfy if you enjoy the whole school setting.
So far they also did good job at tried setting up the mystery and I think they may drop some foreshadow/hint for future story (I'm looking at you Eito) but I find the whole loredump cocktease aren't fun! to me they should tell about world death the moment Nozomi & co appeared but Kurara fucking ruin everything and the whole shit drama between Second Student feel so forced to me imo. I think there's no problem if there's tension between main & secondary student because i think it's inevitable, but I dislike the way they're being handled here. I genuinely hate Kurara so much like I think I am already grow up that I cannot tolerate her antics, sorry I am fucking tired with whole "violent tsundere character that get forgiven because they're cute and yadaydyada" miss me with that shit.
Eito is just sooo shady and honestly i'm not surprised if he's end up being villain lol. like they don't even hiding it, because the whole circumstance in Eito just ooze that he did something shady behind the student.
Also Gaku is fun character, idk why people hated him or act like he's the Worst Man ever. like sure he's pathetic and kinda annoying, but he's not even incel like people thought him?? yeah he has skewed perception of women but I don't think he's chuddy women hater. he's more like typical loser and pathetic guy tbh. anyway, I like Gaku I find his reasoning is more believeable lol, I think he's the most "Normal" character among the group.
gameplay
for gameplay I tried safety mode first because I wanted to get a knack of the gameplay first and wanted to know the story first lol. but the gameplay is honestly very easy and I think if you're not gamer you will liked it. but it also still makes you thinking esp since the gameplay revolve around AP use instead turn-based like usual SRPG. the exploration mode is nothing to write of. I will probably try last defense mode once I cleared my first route.
overall
so far for 30 hours the games were great, I think Handora is more adv than SRPG honestly lol, the SRPG gameplay is more like...topping. but the game is ADV/VN first and foremost, so don't expect complicated gameplay or actual strategy from this game (unless you're playing hard mode I guess).
this game is pretty much build for You to care about the story & characters instead gameplay and nothing wrong with that! but I could be wrong since I am still in half days.
for my fav characters I love Darumi! like my god she's basically menhera goth otaku girl trope but very fun! the others are Eito, Hiruko, Gaku, Yugamu, & Kyoshika.
